Architecture, Design and Art at The Langham, Chicago

The marriage between fine art, architecture and interiors is prevalent throughout the hotel. Architect and renowned interior designer Lauren Rottet selected the majority of the hotel’s art. Inspired by Mies van der Rohe and his relationship with the Bauhaus School, Rottet selected American artists of Bauhaus descent, incorporating both well-known and emerging artists into the collection. More than 140 artists are showcased including, Judy Ledgerwood, Anish Kapoor, Monique Prieto and emerging artists Michele Grabner, Jan Ticy and Molly Zuckeran-Hartung.
